Sculpture left by an ancient alien civilization ... or local Bicycle Motocross (BMX) riders
Summary
Daniel from Kansas and Seth from New Mexico came out to the coast to run with me today. And to help Seth feel at home, we played in some landscape sculptures left by an ancient alien civilization. To make Daniel feel at home, I drew upon my many Wizard of Oz references, for example, when we came to a crossroads in our trail, I did the scarecrow act of “you could go this way, but I’ve also heard that way is nice, etc…” At the time, however, it hadn’t occurred to me that was a reference to Daniel being from Kansas – nor that the alien sculpture was a reference to New Mexico (you know; Area 51, Roswell, UFOs?)
