Story

Todd wanted to keep his marathon-a-month streak going, but couldn’t afford to travel this June, and couldn’t find any local marathons. Do Charlie Alewine organized a marathon and invited a bunch of “maniacs”.

It turned out to be a very hot day at Legg Lake. Not surprising for inland Southern California in late June.

I came out to run with Todd, but decided after 17 miles to take a break. Then I finished the last lap of Todd’s marathon with him. So I only “ran” about 19 miles or so (2+ miles per lap).
