Rediscovering the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other.

Summary

I don’t believe the 100-ups, or any other drill, is really about the “one perfect way to run”. After all, running is a dynamic process, especially while barefoot, feeling and responding immediately to how our feet are interacting with the terrain, as the terrain changes, and as our bodies change, year by year, day by day, step by step.

But it is a good drill and exercise to teach you some of the components of gentle running techniques, and help condition your body for long runs, while waiting for your computer to download or upload a file, reboot, etc.. especially if you don’t otherwise have time to run all day long to prepare for your next marathon, or any long run really. -Ken Bob Saxton

Story

When you’re stalking barefoot runners, camouflage helps. “Some of them get kind of prancy when they notice you filming,” Peter Larson says. “They put on this notion of what they think barefoot running should be. It looks weird.”
