Surf City Run 5K, 2018 July 4

By Psycho Kay (Katin)

Dad forgot to bring his camera, so we didn’t get many photos of me in the Surf City 5K. Just a couple with the mobile phone before and after the race.

After we parked, I saw the banners, the police, the volunteers directing people where to go (and where not to go). I was really excited, so I danced and pulled Dad to get to the start line faster. He said, “the race doesn’t start for another hour.” I didn’t care, I was so excited that I sang, danced, and pulled Dad to the ground…

I was so excited I could poop… so I did. Then I pooped again, that way I wouldn’t need to worry about it during the race.

During the first kilometer, I was trying to win the race. Dad started us out near the back of the crowd, and he was holding me back (I could have run 25 miles per hour – at least for a short distance).

After a couple of kilometers we caught up with Mom. I told Dad to stay with Mom. He listened to me and we ran/walked with Mom for the rest of the race.

There were a couple of other barefoot runners too (besides Dad, me and several other dogs). After we finished, Mom took a photo of one barefoot runner, who is the same age as Dad, standing with me and Dad.
