Story
I’m sure your getting lots of people gushing about their experiences with barefoot running and maybe getting tired of it, but after this weekend I just couldn’t hold back and wanted to say thanks again. Sincerely.
Even though my legs still retain the scars and memory from a past of a shattered femur, three major surgeries, two body casts, a metal rod through my femur and a one inch leg length discrepancy, this weekend I ran another official 5k on Saturday barefoot and spent 2 hours Sunday running and playing with friends on beautiful trails in Colorado freshly moistened by our first snow of the year. My bare feet feeling alive, strong, and amazing.
After this week I will have completed four official 5K races and one Half Marathon and am running 4-5 days a week barefoot . My legs, hips, and back are stronger than ever, and the pain in my hips I have had for over 20 years has vanished. I’ve also somehow been elevated to “athlete” status by my triathlete and running friends here in Colorado and they are coming to me for tips and advice!
Thanks for turning my life right-side-up and so openly and willingly sharing your wisdom with the world. It has meant a lot.
Best Wishes and Happy Halloween!
Josh
