Summary
2012 December 22 Saturday at 10:00 AM at the old same place, Huntington Beach CA
This will be Ken Bob’s first regular run of the 5th Mayan Long Calendar. I know what you’re thinking, “What another Mayan calendar? It seems like just a bit over 5000 years ago we began the 4th Mayan calendar!”
However, despite that I am willing to pose for it, the Mayans seem to be lagging on their preparation of their new calendar…
But let’s run anyway!
The 4th Mayan long calendar ends at December 21, 2012, 11:11 UTC which according to my calculations will be at 3:11 AM on the 21nd here in California… Now, I don’t know about you, but I need my sleep! And I don’t care if the world ends while I’m sleeping. I’m not going to get up at 3 in the morning to run to the end of the world! So let’s just wait until Saturday morning and celebrate the successful beginning of the new world and the fact that we survived the end of the old world!
Perhaps you think I’m being a bit optimistic about predicting our survival, but what have I got to lose? Eh? If I’m wrong, who’s going to be here to say, “I told you so”?
If’ I’m right, we’ll all get to go for a fun run together.
Exploitation of Mayan Prediction for Profit?
Some of you may also be thinking I’m exploiting this historic day for profit. Well you couldn’t be more wrong!
If that were the case, I would be charging money for people to run with me. And I would insist on early payment (so I can spend your money before – or in case of – the world ending). But that’s not the case. I’m not doing this to make money, to get rich, or to sell my book!
Oh! And don’t forget to BUY MY BOOK!
