The BarefootRunning.com Canopy at Surf City Marathon 2013 Feb 2

Ken Bob’s BarefootRunning.com canopy will be between mile 20 and 21 of the Surf City Marathon on Sunday. You’ll pass by twice, unless you drop out of the race at the turn-around…

Take your shoes off before you run or walk past, and Barefoot Ken Bob will try to shoot as many photos of you running barefoot as practical. Photos will be posted at BarefootRunning.com and downloadable for FREE! Even if you cannot afford shoes, you can afford FREE photos!

  1. Any tips or tricks on getting a bib for the full marathon?
My training (1st marathon) wasn’t going well so i didn’t purchase one before it sold out. After a couple recent 20 milers (1/2 barefoot, 1/2 water socks) i’m feeling good & think i can finish 26.2.
    thanks, Mark

    • If you’re talking about trying to buy a number off someone else, I wouldn’t bother. Rather than paying good money to run illegitimately with someone else’s number and name, with no official results for yourself, just come down and join us at the canopy and get your 26.2 miles running back and forth encouraging other runners. You can even run down here from your home … depending on where you live, that’ll get you some, or most of the mileage.
