Summary
This is a great course for barefoot running EXPERTS! This course will test your barefoot running technique with hard-packed dirt trails littered with sharp pebbles and rocks.
Still trying to decide if I will go to this, or not. Been very busy and looking forward to spending the weekend at home (except Sunday when I go with Cathy to the Orange County Triathlon… I have an offer for a ride up from Huntington Beach on Friday, but the deciding factor at this point will be if I can get a ride home on Saturday so I can be at Cathy’s triathlon on Sunday. I have a tent I can bring to share with one or two others.
Statistics
100 Mile 100 Kilometer 50 Kilometer 10 MileStory
I did run the 10-mile Born to Run Ultra-marathon in 2011 barefoot, naturally (though saying I ran the 10-mile ultramaraton is a bit like saying you ran barefoot in shoes…). Anyway, few ran the second loop barefoot… actually only two I know of. One was Caballo Blanco’s dog, Guadajuko who ran about 20 miles total, barefoot naturally, with Caballo Blanco and Maria Walton (both wearing footwear).
